Our Mission is to unlock the heart of the city with the love of Christ, through the Arts. Our Vision is to call youth, as Christ's workmanship, to make life-giving choices that transform the city. At AGAP, we help youth to better know and serve Christ by helping them discover and develop their imaginations, creativity, and artistic skills. Ultimately, and by the grace of God, we believe our students can transform the communities in which they learn and play as they glorify Him with their art. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.(Ephesians 2:10) At the root of our committment to arts education is Jesus Christ and our belief that God allows us to praise Him through Art, to reflect His glory through Art, and to be functioning members of the body of Christ through Art. We view our students as God’s own artwork or “workmanship” that He created so deliberately, and we established AGAP so that our students could come to know Jesus and respond to Him in kind with artwork of their own. God allows us to praise Him through Art Psalm 33:1-4. Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
