Founded in 2018, Agents for Impact GmbH is an impact investing company based out of Frankfurt with the purpose to i) increase impact investments in emerging & developing markets by building bridges between impact investors & the world of impact investing; and ii) contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) with the help of our proprietary SDG Rating tool - Agents for Impact Sustainability Alignment Rating (AFISAR©) Tool. We are a truly international company, with our 23 passionate and highly experienced agents from 9 different nations remotely working across the globe. Agents for Impact has three key business pillars: RISK: AfI’s risk pillar supports its clients by providing sustainability risk management services tailor-made to our clients’ requirements. Our risk team addresses sustainability risks as well as sustainability-related regulatory developments, raising awareness and understanding of the emerging landscape of ESG-related regulations and their implications for both investors and PFIs as their investees. Since 2019, we have served as the partner for Plausibility Check of ESG reports for Hansa Invest. RATING: Our proprietary tool, AFISAR©, enables partner finance institutions to demonstrate their competence and alignment to the SDGs. The rating acts as an independent ‘trust mark’ for microfinance and other organizations - signifying a commitment to positive and enduring change for people and the planet based on the SDG framework. Till date, AfI has rated 40+ microfinance institutions across the globe. RESEARCH: With our international experience, expertise and extensive network, we are a strong partner for impact investment funds and portfolio managers. As an investment advisor & partner, we offer end to end transactional support. Since its inception, AfI has served as impact investment advisor for Invest in Visions, portfolio manager to Germany first and biggest public microfinance fund - IIV Mikrofinanzfonds, & 2 other Luxembourg funds.
