Welcome to Agile International Company Profile Agile (Action to Generate and Integrate the Local Economy) is a non-profit organization empowering local women farmers and restoring the cultural wisdom that underlies traditional sustainable agriculture. Mission: Agile International’s mission is to return Western Africa to food abundance by empowering local women farmers and restoring the cultural wisdom that underlies traditional sustainable agriculture. We seek to break free from the endless cycle of foreign aid and food imports by producing nutritious food, generating enough income to support and educate children, and preserving the cultures and customs that create strong families and communities. Our Work: Agile International plans to empower women through entrepreneurship development so women can: 1. Develop effectiveness in becoming their own best advocates 2. Develop skills in organizing, mobilizing and recognizing themselves as agents for social change 3. Acquire and practice more skills of enterprise creation 4. Acquire ability and capabilities to decide about new venture opportunities, plan, organize and successfully manage small businesses and small enterprises. Women will receive training and business development services in their communities. This will all be done sustainably, thanks to our sustainable development programs, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Animal Science at Colorado State University (CSU). We are creating change by adopting what seems impossible, but at the same time, practical.
