HISTORY OF AGM IMPORTS: John Antunes, a native of Portugal, is the owner and President of family owned AGM Imports. John entered the stone business in 1981 at Long Island, New York. Recognizing the growth and quality of homes in the Low Country, John with his wife Alice (Vice President) and their three children moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in 1994. Other dedicated employees followed John and AGM Imports took birth servicing the Southeast with quality granite and marble. As business grew with more people wanting the beauty of granite countertops, expansion was necessary and John opened a warehouse outside of Atlanta, Georgia in the year Quick service and fast delivery is what fabricators want and a third AGM Imports warehouse was opened in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003. AGM Imports warehouse in Charleston, South Carolina was opened in 2005, as John continued to bring the AGM Imports stone inventory closer to the fabricators and their customers.
