StartupIcon.tv is an “International, Virtual, American Idol for Startups” Our goal for Season 2 is to get 1MM users for 10 of the Startups and we could use your help to do it. It is an online pitch competition that allows startup ventures from around the world to gain access to users and qualified investors over their web cams. We then webcast out the contest interaction live where we added a gamification layer to reward the views to do 3 important things: 1) signup with the startups, 2) try their product and provide live feedback, 3) bring their friends to the startups they like. Current Judges include but are not limited to: Tim Draper, Bill Reichert, Nolan Bushnell and Jason Mendelson. It takes about an hour per heat you decide to Judge and you do it via your web cam from anywhere. Companies start to qualify March 8th and we select the Starting 64 May 1st. We are always looking for Judges to fill slots from May 7th - June 4th.(124 slots, Season 1 was filled with 47 Judges, Season 2 we are looking for 100) Judges select their spots on a first come first serve basis, so the closer we get to March the less selection we will have.
