Agouti Floresta

Founded in 2016, Agouti is fully operated in the State of Acre, Brazil. The company runs two facilities in the State, processing and exporting all its products all over the world. The facilities were acquired after going out of business, refurbished and now they are operated by the company producing flooring, decking and plywood. Doing all its processing in the North of Brazil, the organization ensures job creation in the region while ensuring that all the timber is legal and harvested according to all regulatory requirements demanded by forest authorities. Praised by the quality of its products, Agouti products are imported by all major markets across the world including the US, China, France, Netherlands, Caribbean islands, Denmark to name a few. The company employees more than 500 employees in Rio Branco and Xapuri in the in the State of Acre and currently processes only native timber. For hardwood, our chief species are Cumarú, Garapeira, Cedro, Cerejeira, Jatobá, Bálsamo. For plywood, the main species are Sumaúma, Pinho Cuiabano, X, Y, Z. The company has further plans for expansion in the region to supply a constant increasing demand for legal and economically impacted initiatives that really improves the lives of the local communities. Both plants are FSC Certified harvest from multiple areas meaning that many different communities benefit from the road access that is improved by the company. We are wholesale producers and distributors with a very detailed knowledge of the exporting process and legal requirements.
