Founded in 2011, AGS Consulting is a full-service structural engineering consulting firm that focuses on total building science. Our staff has over 25 years of cumulative experience in dealing with the design and detailing of various types of building structures. Our areas of practice mainly focus on new ground-up building structures; additions, vertical expansions, structural alterations, and restorations of existing building structures; and evaluations and investigations of existing building structures, or parts thereof, triggered by the change in use and occupancy that demand higher loading. AGS provides services related to- Presenting the schematic and design development phase of projects - Preparing construction documents including, but not limited to, structural drawings and specifications - Conducting construction administration such as reviewing shop drawings/project submittals and troubleshooting field conditions during construction - Preparing structural evaluation/investigation reports to assess the load-carrying capacities of various building components such as footings, floors, roofs, and façades - Retrofitting/upgrading existing building structures, or parts thereof, to meet current building code use and occupancy requirements - Writing reports related to the visual observations of existing buildings (Property Condition Assessments) AGS mainly engages in the structural analysis, design, and detailing of: reinforced concrete; masonry; structural steel; cold-formed (light gage) metal framing; wood-framed structures; and non-bearing building façade (envelop) systems. AGS utilizes innovative engineering approaches to solve our client's most complicated projects.
