Ahora Inc, translating to "Now" in English, is a pioneering non-profit charity based in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Our name represents both our Latin heritage and the urgency of our mission. We advocate for environmental justice and promote sustainable and resilient agriculture. In the face of a rapidly changing climate, we believe that the time to act is "Now". Our vision is communities that are not only prepared for the future but are active participants in shaping it. We are a diverse team committed to driving change in our local communities and beyond. Ahora uses the power of AI and data analysis, to inform and drive our initiatives. We center our work around three core areas. They are climate justice, sustainable agriculture, and food sovereignty. We strive to address the climate challenges faced by the communities in Puerto Rico. We focus on Barrio Carite, Lake Carite, and State Park Carite. Our approach is unique and innovative. We blend traditional farming practices with state-of-the-art technology. We create sustainable farming methods that protect our environment and boost our local economy. With our work we aim to empower communities, foster resilience, and create a sustainable future. We believe that climate justice is not a distant goal but an immediate necessity.
