Our mission is to get professionals and students in Japan thinking about and working in AI safety, be that through technical alignment or interpretability research, developing good policies for AI governance, or other yet stranger bets. Our central activity is a weekly seminar series / reading group /, keeping our attendees’ fingers on the pulse of the AI safety literature. We aim to become a hub for AI safety in East Asia, attracting talent and funnelling it to where it can do good.
