The specialty of optical component assembly lies in the precise positioning and attachment technique using eutectic bonding (laser spot size bonding with fill wafer capability as well as oven based large area bonding) and / or high precision gluing of mixed material components (“Hybrid Integration”). This expertise is highly differentiated and its current state of development compares to legacy electronics assembly of the 1980’s. Aifotec has decades of experience working with equipment and component manufacturers in parallel, continuously advancing machine and process know-how. Aifotec is a fully independent service resource from concept design, materials and components choice to prototyping and volume ramp.
