From the introduction of the original Airius fan in June 2004, Airius has grown its offerings to include several product lines that serve the cooling air circulation and destratification needs of many building types and sizes. The Airius Difference - Airius®, the manufacturer of the Air Pear® and Designer Series fans, circulates air in summer and destratifies in winter unlike any other product on the market. The combination of our patented stator system and tapered Venturi design moves air 2.4-39 metres vertically using minimal power to balance temperatures from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, reducing HVAC costs while increasing thermal comfort. All Airius fans feature a unique nozzle design and patented stator system to ensure that a laminar non-turbulent column of air is delivered from the ceiling to the floor below — where we live and work. With any axial fan, there exists a radial component to the air flow causing it to spread laterally and lose velocity when leaving the blades. Airius’ patented fixed blade stator sits below the fan to transfer this rotational component into linear motion exiting the nozzle. Having all the airflow energy in line with the fan axis promotes a tight air column and maximises the throw. Another design aspect that helps to maximise throw is the shape of the nozzle. Utilizing the Venturi effect, the nozzle increases the exit speed and allows for the air throw to be maximised even further. The combination of housing shape, patented stator, and energy-efficient motors is what makes Airius fans unique in delivering air over long distances using minimal power.
