Airman To Mom

Airman to Mom is a personal blog sharing the story of Amanda. She is a military spouse and veteran. She served in the Air Force for six years alongside her husband. While serving in the Air Force Amanda was a Civil Engineer Officer and deployed to Afghanistan as part of a Provincial Reconstruction Team. In 2013 Amanda traded in her combat boots for a diaper bag to become a stay at home mom. Through the transition, she found a love a writing and a desire to help others who were leaving the military and feeling stuck. On her blog, Amanda shares life experiences and gives tips and advice to others who have served in or are currently serving in the military. Each October she takes time to share the stories of others serving in the military. In 2013, she shared 31 Days of military experience, in 2017 she did 31 Days of Deployment and this fall she will be spotlighting women who have served in the military, 31 Days of Women in the Military. Amanda has been featured as a writer on Military One Click, Next Gen MilSpouse and MOPS. She has also been interviewed by the Inspired Women Podcast, Happy Hour Podcast, Dear MilFamily and Milspouse Coffee House.
