Akcija Sarajevo

AKCIJA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization for culture, founded in 1998 in Sarajevo by a group of young and creative people which have long-lasting experience dealing with cultural issues. AKCIJA has so far carried out all its activities in the field of culture, as well as cultural policies, and is well recognized as a reference point in the field of culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In its approach to problems and needs of this particular sector AKCIJA strives to systematical changes and solutions. In attempt to achieve this kind of change, AKCIJA insists on knowledge, and has an emphasis on research as well as relevant reports and analysis in the field of cultural, developing advocacy activities, networking and developing educational programs. AKCIJA is an open space where we gather, create and offer information and knowledge on situation, condition and state of cultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. AKCIJA promotes culture as public good, focusing on all its potential for social cohesion, emancipation and education, as well as importance of its role for economic development of the state and society in general.
