Akimbo Architecture
AKIMBO Architecture is an emerging, forward-thinking design studio, founded in 2019 by architect Carly Martin. Akimbo is committed to finding new directions for design solutions to create architecture that is innovative and progressive. While craftsmanship is often a term associated with the making of an object, it applies equally to the process of design. Through thoughtful consideration of the relationship between internal and external spaces the experience of a building can be enhanced. We believe that the craft of good design can enrich and delight, while also creating elegant solutions with integrity and longevity. AKIMBO is committed to a sustainable future – we believe that architecture has a responsibility to minimise consumption of resources and implement regenerative design principles. We are signatories to the ‘Australian Architects Declare’ movement, and will always work with our clients to create architecture that has a more positive impact on the world around us.
