Akkar Trail

Akkar Trail is an advocate for environmental awareness, encouraging people to become not only beneficiaries but also active contributors to biodiversity preservation within Akkar governorate, a natural hotspot. Akkar's natural asset is beyond valuable, however, highly threatened by forest fires and climate change, which puts us on a mission to not only promote responsible ecotourism but also preserve this biodiversity richness. Therefore, we conduct several environmental services such as but not limited to: afforestation, reforestation, trails rehabilitation, species documentation, restoration and others. In face of all the rising challenges happening in our 21st century, Akkar trail has created a forest fire department who has proven a capability to combat forest fires since 2020, not just through innovative strategies but also research and vehicles development, significant campaigns and trainings, and knowledge dissemination.
