Alabama Veteran

Alabama Veteran is a registered 501(c)3 organization headquartered in Birmingham, providing outreach assistance throughout the state. Our mission is to create an environment within the Alabama community that will engage both Veterans and civilians in order to generate a shared understanding of our veteran experience and continued development of community engagement and camaraderie. We provide opportunities for Veterans and current military members to remain engaged and working towards reaching their full potential. We try to enrich their life by promoting the spirit of camaraderie through social, fitness, outdoor recreation and through curating a network of providers whom each deliver specialized services in accordance with our service men and women’s individual needs. Our vision is to remain steadfast as the largest growing, community-based, peer-to-peer organization while providing a trusted space for Veterans and service members to reach out for guidance and connect. Our peer-to-peer engagement strategy has enabled us to maintain contact with Veterans long after connecting with them- we will remain a 100% effective community builder. Our Veteran Engagement Strategy is one of a kind! We take a One-Stop approach towards promoting mental and physical wellness through community and digital interface. Alabama Veteran manages two main communication types: Social Media: Our Social Media interface allows Veterans the opportunity to connect with a larger network of Veterans, community leaders, Veteran-friendly employers, resources, and open space to connect. Our Website Connects Veterans with 1-Click access to a wealth of resources, opportunities to connect with member organizations, Veteran community Blog Subscriptions, and a unique Get Assistance Feature that connects Veterans with our case management and relief efforts.
