Alejandro Vargas

Being an integral energetic person with a philosophy of attaining success in life through education, honesty, respect, and hard work, fused with well-founded ethical and moral values, have led me to be the person I am today. I have received an education from San Diego State University (SDSU) with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration with an emphasis in public administration and leadership. I am knowledgeable with the processes of organization and administration as they pertain to public bureaucracies in general, but in particular the specific aspects of management pertaining to communication, leadership, human resources, budgeting, planning, information, administrative behavior, plan and evaluation, fiscal, public, and budgetary policy. I shall continue the pursuit of higher education, for I feel an urge for greater knowledge acquisition, and for a brighter future. As part of my job as a Business Services Representative for ResCare at the North County Coastal Career Center, I connect businesses with valuable services such as recruiting and marketing assistance and training of new employees at no cost. Basically, we are trying to spend 1.6 million training dollars. These are federal funds (U.S. Department of Labor produced the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 – WIA) directed to meet the needs of businesses for skilled workers, destined to create jobs, strengthen our local businesses, and boost the economy.
