Alenmaa Pharmaceuticals Sundries & Equipment Company (APESCO) was established in 1972 to import medicines and medical equipment to Libyan ministry of health, it’s owned by Economic, Social and Development Fund (ESDF) and it was named Alwatanya Pharmaceutical Company. In 2009, APESCO becoming the exclusive import and distribute of all Libyan needs of the special medicines (Blood products, Narcotic, Psychological medicine, Insulin … etc) for private sector. APESCO originated with capital cost of 87 Million Libyan dinars.(about 65 Million Dollars), and it’s has main office located in Tripoli with 285 employees and has branches in Tripoli and in other Libyan cities (Bengazi, Misrata and Sabha).
