Alessandra Bergero

For the past thirty-five years, Alessandra Bergero has attended film festivals and markets around the world, promoting and producing a variety of innovative projects. She started filmmaking in 1982 in New York City. Her interest in new trends and cultural art movements led her to document the early Graffiti Artists of the Bronx and the Performing Underground Artists of the East Village. From 1985 to 1990 she was a selector of independent American films for the Florence Film Festival and a producer of special events for the Italian Cultural Institute of New York (Alberto Sordi for Italy on Stage, Italian New Films at MOMA, NYC). In 1998 Alessandra founded the first Italian Film Commission and for the past two decades, together with her brother Raffaele, she has managed all kinds of television and film productions on the Italian Riviera. Their creative and professional advice, from script writing to top-notch on-site assistance, has been instrumental in attracting majors such as Universal Pictures, New Line Cinema and TV series such as "Life after People" for History Channel USA to this previously untapped area. Today, their direct experience in the field is the right background to produce, in a sustainable way, impactful products for the audiovisual market. Monna Productions intends to develop a series of "GLOCAL" projects from local to global, in collaboration with international partners.
