Algebra PNG is an independent economic advisory service based in Papua New Guinea, specialising in applied economic analysis, financial modelling, and policy advisory. While our core expertise lies in the mineral and energy sectors, we also support work across infrastructure, agriculture, state-owned enterprises, and national development planning. Papua New Guinea has hosted major resource developments such as PNG LNG, Porgera and Ok Tedi. However, broad-based development outcomes have not kept pace with the scale of resource extraction. A key contributor to this gap is the limited availability of advanced analytical capabilities needed to assess complex investment structures, evaluate fiscal and policy incentives, and make evidence-based decisions. Algebra PNG exists to help strengthen this capacity. We work with PNG Government institutions, policy agencies, state-owned enterprises and public stakeholders to support informed, transparent, and accountable decision-making.
