MISSION Our mission is to provide high-quality education with an arts emphasis to equip students with the knowledge, tools, and skills required to be successful and happy in their chosen life pathway. VISION We strive to provide a transformative and supportive environment where students, regardless of background and circumstance, receive high-quality instruction that develops and nurtures every student's unique needs and strengths so they are prepared to achieve personal success and realize their full potential. GRADUATE AIMS In 2005, Algiers Charter was founded by a nonprofit board comprised of Orleans Parish School Board members and neighborhood representatives. At the time, Algiers Charter was a community-based solution that provided the first educational options for families returning to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
