AlgoriNet, Inc. is a privately held software development and technical services firm, specializing in productivity tools for CICS environment. Founded in 1997, AlgoriNet corporate headquarters and customer support center are located in Ann Arbor, MI. Our Research and Development center is located in Israel. Our flagship product is "Task Flow Recorder for CICS"(TFR). This unique tool allows customers to record the complete execution flow of selected CICS transactions (including mirror tasks), see exactly what happened, how much time was spent in each CICS or database command and in each module, compare tasks, compare records, view the content of records read and parameters passed among programs, and even the content of the working-storage at any given time. When CICS transactions are recorded by TFR, they run normally, and at regular speed. The operators that run the tasks may not even be aware that their activities are being recorded. TFR records and displays every: CICS command, its major operand and offset in the program. DB2, ADABAS and DL/I calls or any other remote service. Subroutines invoked via EXEC CICS LINK, dynamic call or even static call. Every TCB switch. Program abends, and invocations of “handle abend” labels. All of the above, within mirror tasks that were originated by the recorded task, and ran in other regions. When something goes wrong during the execution of a CICS transaction (which was usually written by a developer who already retired), Task Flow Recorder is the quickest and easiest way to figure out what exactly is happening in the code. The product is installed very easily, with no system hooks. No need to re-compile any customer’s code; you simply install and use. Though TFR is running in CICS environment, it can be operated without the use of 3270 terminals. Our user interface is Java-based, easily installed as a BUNDLE resource inside CICS, and runs under IBM’s WebSphere Liberty Server.
