Allied Accountants – Public Accountants was established in UAE in 1968 under the name “Shair & Co.” - Public Accountants with two offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi after which offices were opened in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, London, Paris, and Head Office in Amman-Jordan. Shair & Co. grew to become one of the leading professional firms in the field of accounting in the areas where it operates. During the year 1994 Shair & Co. was merged with Arthur Anderson with the exception of Abu Dhabi Office which was one of the most successful audit offices in Abu Dhabi. During 1994 Mr. Shair, the Managing Director of Shair Group on whose name the Company was named retired, whereby, we were obliged to change the name of our firm in Abu Dhabi from Shair & Co. to Allied Accountants. Abu Dhabi office continued its operations with the same partners (Late Mounir Boulos and other partners), staff, and clients as if nothing has changed. We continued to give the same quality of work as we used to, in addition to continually raising our professional standards to the highest levels and following the International Standards on Auditing, and reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards. We understand the rich cultural diversity of the region, its language and its customers.
