Allies For Allies

Allies for Allies is a nonprofit supporting parents, guardians, and caregivers of neurodivergent and disabled individuals. Grounded in care, community, and empowerment, we proudly stand alongside the Down syndrome, intellectual and developmental disability (IDD), autism, and rare disease communities. We often refer to the individuals at the center of our work as Remarkable Humans—because that’s how we see them. Families supporting neurodivergent and disabled loved ones are facing a growing care gap. Qualified, specialized caregivers can be difficult to find, expensive, and often unavailable when families need support most. Allies for Allies exists to help bridge this care gap by making care more accessible, empowering, and human. Care Connect, an initiative of Allies for Allies, is a free-to-use care platform designed to help families connect with experienced, specialized caregivers who support individuals of all ages with autism, IDD, and rare conditions. Care Connect brings together caregivers with backgrounds in special education, autism support, OT, PT, SLP, ABA, nursing, graduate and undergraduate programs, and lived caregiving experience. What makes us different is our collaborative approach. We work alongside Regional Centers, disability organizations, social workers, case managers, and community partners to share Care Connect as a trusted resource—supporting families who are struggling to find qualified care for their loved ones. By centering real-world experience, trust, and access, we aim to strengthen the broader care ecosystem and meet families and caregivers where they are. Care Connect officially launches on 12/20 in the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Sacramento, with plans to expand thoughtfully over time.
