Almit belongs to the top 5 of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of solders. In 1956 the mother company Nihon Almit was founded in Japan, being one of the pioneers in the development and production of solder wires. At the end of Almit GmbH was founded in Bietigheim-Bissingen. In July 2005, the company moved its headquarters to Michelstadt-Asselbrunn near Frankfurt am Main, where the warehouse for Central Europe has also been located since then.
