The Gas Slug Katcher resides in the well, upstream of the artificial lift device on a tailpipe or attached to a retrievable packer. Gas slugs and entrained gas will be separated then stored in a chamber which slowly meters the gas back into the main flow stream. There are no moving parts, and no inverted shrouds allowing a conventional completion.
