As we ricochet from the dystopian pandemic, we wanted to draw attention to the pockets of those quieter days where the din of the city was taken over by birdsong. The momentary peace we found within our homes, the beauty we rediscovered in simpler joys before we resiliently adapted to a new version of hyper productivity. Our story stems from this idea of rest, relaxation and sleep, which feels like luxury in the urban world. We call ourselves AltSleep, short for All Things Sleep and we believe that sleep is just as important as diet and exercise in achieving a healthy lifestyle. On average, we spend a third of our lives sleeping, but we wonder why sleep is often taken for granted and compromised. As a society we do not pay enough attention to the importance of sleep and the impact it has on overall health and well-being. While we boast about our healthy eating and exercise habits, sleep is not celebrated enough. We want to be a destination that gently nudges you to have dialogues on good sleep, abandon the stigma of laziness, share stories, and build a community. AltSleep's mission is to embody sleep by providing luxury sleepwear and sleep solutions for women. Despite sleep being such a primary part of our lives, sleepwear is often an afterthought. So, we decided to create sleepwear that portrays indulgence with comfort and style, redefining it into the mainstream of wardrobe favourites. Our design philosophy is built on our core values of transparency, inclusivity, and our love for the planet. We believe in conscious fashion and work with a small group of artisans who help us shape our vision into reality. We take pride in crafting our products with love and extra care in finishing each garment by hand.
