Alta Development is an early stage development company focused on providing technology solutions by parents, for parents. The company was founded by Shannon Hawkins and Matthew Herrington, who together, conceptualized a secure coaching platform for parents of new drivers. SoftPedal is an innovative system with the goal of creating safer roads for everyone. Patent-pending, cloud-based, data analytics and advanced telematics are utilized to create a secure learning environment for new drivers. The system features real-time alerts, graduated monitoring and overall driver safety ratings to facilitate ongoing, informed communication between parents and teen drivers. The system runs on current versions of iOS platform and is available at no cost to families. SoftPedal was developed through a joint venture of Alta Development, Inc. and EastBanc Technologies. The SoftPedal system can be downloaded in the AppStore.
