Mitten im Dorfkern von Lohn-Ammannsegg gelegen, umfasst das Wohnheim Alte Schmitte ein Bauernhaus und eine angebaute Schmiedewerkstatt aus dem Jahr 1790. Hier finden Erwachsene mit einer kognitiven Beeinträchtigung ein liebevoll betreutes Zuhause und eine sinnstiftende Tagesstruktur. Hier fühlen sie sich aufgehoben und erleben einen identitätsstiftenden Alltag. Wir fördern Normalität und Selbstbestimmung: unabhängig von ihren unterschiedlichen Einschränkungen sollen sie bei uns Wurzeln schlagen, wachsen und sich entfalten können. Die Alte Schmitte ist seit 1988 ein staatlich anerkanntes Wohnheim. Sie wird als gemeinnützige Genossenschaft verwaltet.
