Altenburg Arts is the only independent presenter in Singapore with a full season of classical music concerts featuring international artists, specialising in solo recitals and chamber music. Our focus is on great musical works, best experienced with a powerful sense of immediacy. Bringing this music to life are the world’s finest, most sought-after soloists and chamber musicians. Altenburg Arts was founded in 2018 by Lionel Choi, former Artistic Director of the Singapore International Piano Festival (2010-18) and music critic at The Straits Times (1997-2007). Inspired by the sheer range of musical activity in such cities as London and New York on any given day, Choi set out to make Altenburg Arts a premier presenter of world-class concerts of the highest quality, through which it enlivens the artistic and cultural calendar of Singapore.
