The mist is a mixture of water and disinfectant chemicals which is evenly distributed around the area. Thanks to its very thin droplets, the mist kills bacteria in difficult-to-reach areas, gaps in the machinery, under surfaces, the air above the production area, and the ventilation system. Besides improving food safety by combatting bacteria (Salmonella, Listeria, E. Coli etc), viruses and fungi, ALVAR increases sustainability by saving water and chemicals. On top of that, we can help food producers when facing their particular challenges, like saving time in the sanitation process for pelagic processors, attacking Listeria and biofilms in enclosed machinery in salmon processing plants, or releasing the crew members from carrying out manual disinfection onboard of trawlers. Our aim is to provide the best-in-class disinfection technology, whatever chemical provider you choose to use. Our solutions are compatible with most disinfectant chemicals available on the market, like peracetic acid, chlorine, hypochlorite, and hydrogen peroxide among others.
