Alvi Associates was established in 1979 and provides services in the areas of structural, water resources, transportation, and geotechnical engineering for bridges, roadways, retaining systems, dams, tunnels, waterways, and other civil infrastructure. Our innovative designs have been recognized by numerous awards for engineering excellence, including a major national award. We are also involved in research, currently focused on the role of human factors in failure and safety of civil infrastructure, and the President & Chief Engineer of our firm recently served as a member of the independent forensic team which investigated the spillway failures at Oroville Dam in California, which is the tallest dam in the US.
