Indian economy is an agro-based economy with around 75% of the population residing in the villages & earning 70% of its livelihood from agro based industries.In such a scenario the co-operative movement has contributed to a considerable extent towards the advancement in the agricultural field. Hence it is obvious that our country has basically progressed due to agricultural development of villages. The co-operative societies are lending a good hand past many years for fulfilling the above purpose resulting in uninterrupted progress of our nation.
