Amarci

Amarci is a family-owned skincare business, based in Kona, Hawaii. We pride ourselves in using nature’s best and most potent ingredients to create niche products. Amarci’s current product line uses Hawaiian Astaxanthin as its “hero” ingredient. Astaxanthin is a potent antioxidant - times more powerful than vitamin C - that's derived from microalgae grown in Hawaii. Astaxanthin is responsible for giving salmon, shrimp, and flamingos their vibrant pink color. In skincare, it's used for its unique ability to neutralize free radicals caused by environmental aggressors like sun exposure and pollution. The damage from these free radicals can accelerate skin aging, leading to wrinkles, fine lines, and skin texture and tone changes. Astaxanthin's strong antioxidant properties protect the skin against this damage, reduce inflammation, and improve the skin's hydration levels. A local connection to Hawaiian Astaxanthin led us to develop Amarci - a skincare line centered around Hawaiian Astaxanthin. We chose the name Amarci, which means “to love” in Italian, as a tribute to the self-love and self-care we hope Amarci users feel through using our skincare.
