Amarok Racing

Amarok Racing is an advanced motorcycle development lab based in Canada. Founded by industry veteran Michael Uhlarik in 2010 during the First Wave of electric motorcycle pioneers, the lab designs and tests electric two-wheeled vehicle concepts, and experiments with innovative theories in structures, aerodynamics and principal layout. Amarok Racing unveiled the P1 in 2011, the world's first stressed-skin metal monocoque electric motorcycle that used the battery as both the chassis and the body shell to wide acclaim. The Amarok SAF concept radically reduces weight, cost and increases internal battery volume, altering the perception that high performance electric motorcycles had to be heavy or cumbersome. To validate the SAF concept, the Amarok P2 participated in the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb race. Amarok sanctioned and supported the University of Sherbroke EMUS team in the design of their electric motorcycle, which as of summer 2017 has defeated electric bikes from prestigious American institutions like MIT. Amarok designs have been featured in magazines and news organizations around the world in more than 20 languages, including the New York Times, Wired, CBC television and dozens of mainstream motorcycle and electric vehicle media outlets. Since 2016, Amarok has focused on developing ultra low-cost electric two-wheelers for the growing e-bike market.
