American Inequality

American Inequality looks at US inequality topics that tend to get less coverage, like inequality in life expectancy, food deserts, internet access, mental health, and more. We use data visualizations to highlight America’s regional divides so politicians, policymakers, and businesses know where to focus our efforts to turn the tide. Inequality is growing in America and millions of families are struggling to keep up. We often know the exact towns, cities, and counties where inequality is the greatest, but we still aren’t doing enough to help. I’m hoping to shed light on the communities and stories that are most often left in the dark.
