A UN Tourism (formerly UNWTO) affiliate for the past 55+ years, AMFORHT is the World Association for Hospitality & Tourism Education & Training. UN Tourism created AMFORHT in 1969, and since 2017 the NGO has a Special Consultative Status with the United Nations' Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC). Present in 80+ countries, AMFORHT addresses governments and local authorities requests to assist them in implementing sustainable tourism strategies, through hospitality and tourism education and training. Today, AMFORHT is a global network of 700+ members, 370+ universities, schools and training centers, students and trainees at any one time all over the world and over 200 international experts.
