Ami Gems is a young company with a strong heritage in the diamond business. Managing Director, Abhishek Javeri, third generation diamantaire, received the gift of understanding diamonds from his grandfather, Mr. S.L. Javeri, who ran the Indian based company, Saralal Lakmichand & Co. In 1934, Mr. S.L. Javeri had already developed a worldwide network from Mumbai to New York, passing through Hong Kong and Antwerp, manufacturing and selling both rough and polished diamonds.
