Amity Motel
Our story starts back in 2007 when David and Susan Kowalewski purchased the site for what would become Amity Court Motel. Both born and breed in Taranaki they fell in love with the idea of provide clean, comfortable and secure accommodation in Central Taranaki. This idea is what is at the heart of our vision today. Having spent their entire career within the dairy industry, David and Susan grew their small farm into the estate it is today, boosting 600+ Friesian cows over 600 acres. Looking to the future, diversification was the goal and the Amity Court idea was born. In 2009 the 23 unit motel opened its doors and was an immediate success achieving occupancies well above regional averages. Today, Amity Court Motel Ltd is under the next generation. Jason and Kate Kowalewski took over the management of the business in 2012. Since then we now operate 60% of the motel rooms in the Stratford district and have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline. “We look forward to helping grow this business, the industry within Taranaki and our local community in the years to come.” says Jason Kowalewski
