Amp Career Events

We use our resources to create a community outreach event in the form of a building day centered around Science Technology Engineering Art and Math (STEAM) for girls between the ages of 7 to 9 years old. Founded by Ayonna Marie Patterson, who after years of community involvement, strategic planning, thesis research, teaching experience and connecting stake holders has created events to help expose youth to career options in STEAM fields. We offer girls the opportunity to learn about careers with professionals in a fun environment. Few organizations offer programs that introduce elementary school girls explicitly to careers. A lot of the programs whose goal is to educate students on opportunities after high school, target middle and high school students. amp Career Events believes that it is important to plant the seed for girls to dream about what they can become as early as possible.
