AMSTAMB is a brand that focuses on the study of three dimensional metalwork, in the form of jewelry and other metal adornments. It is based in Jakarta, established in 2017. The brand concentrates on ‘the act of making’ and believes that the maker’s fondness of the smithing process is imprinted in every creation. AMSTAMB predominantly uses pure silver as the main medium. It works across themes, projecting experience, knowledge and visions through varied forms, whether inspired by nature's beauty or the grandiose works of human’s creation. AMSTAMB observes from the rawest form such as the natural shape of a rock or deranged movements of wind waves, to the most delicate pieces like floating draperies or a blown glass. All of these are harmonized in just a 95 by 45 cm work-bench.
