Andalusia is one of the leading players in the healthcare industry in Egypt. With a massive network of general hospitals, specialized medical centers, and polyclinics across Egypt, Andalusia has built a unique footprint in terms of the service spectrum and the geographic location. This network consists of Andalusia Shalalat Hospital, Andalusia Smouha Hospital, and Andalusia Antoniades Clinics that were established in Alexandria in years 1989, 2012, and 2018 respectively. It also extends to Andalusia Maadi Hospital that was established in Cairo in the year 2009. Currently, Andalusia is expanding its investments in Egypt through several projects which include the expansion of Andalusia Maadi Hospital, and constructing 2 new hospitals in the 6th of October City and in New Cairo City, whereas the investment cost of these constructions is estimated to be 1 billion Egyptian pounds. Andalusia Group for Medical Services was founded in 1984 by the entrepreneur Dr. Darweesh Zagzoug as a single hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; which has grown over 30 years into several healthcare facilities in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The second generation family owner and current CEO, Dr. Hazem Zagzoug, has made it possible for a renowned financial institution like the IFC to join forces with Andalusia in serving more than 7 million patients through the last 10 years with excellent quality and creating new jobs.
