ANDO Portugal is the National Association for Skeletal Dysplasias. Skeletal Dysplasias encompass a distinct set of rare bone and metabolic conditions related to the skeleton. Of genetic origin, Skeletal Dysplasias alter the development, structure and constitution of bones, cartilage and dentin. Most of them cause short or very short stature and various associated health complications. ANDO's main objectives are to support and inform people with skeletal dysplasia and their families, to promote and defend their rights, to inform and sensitise society about skeletal dysplasias, and to encourage and collaborate in scientific, clinical and social research.
