ANDREA MONFRIED is principal and publisher of ANDREA MONFRIED EDITIONS. For more than twenty years, she has developed and produced books on art, architecture, and design. She was the founding editor of the Monacelli Press, where she directed more than 100 volumes, including Ike Kligerman Barkley: Houses, Traditional Now: Interiors by David Kleinberg, Site and Sound: The Architecture and Acoustics of New Opera Houses and Concert Halls (by Victoria Newhouse), Happenings: New York, 1958–1963 (by Mildred Glimcher), Brilliant: White in Design (by Linda O’Keeffe), and two books on Vicente Wolf, Lifting the Curtain on Design and Crossing Boundaries: A Global Vision of Design. An honors graduate of Harvard College, she has held editorial positions at Progressive Architecture, Oculus, and Rizzoli.
