Our philosophy is driven by childhood memories of eating from handmade bowls brought back from overseas trips by parents and grandparents to South East Asia or locally made by studio potters in the 70's and 80's when craft and humanity was a normal part of the environment around our homes. Todays crafted objects are hard to find; This makes them all the more special, but often makes us reluctant to use them for fear that they may be damaged or scuffed irreplaceably. We source product of integrity, but at a volume that makes them affordable for everyday use. We don't compromise on quality; We spend time seeking out the best we can find, no matter what it takes or how long it takes. We also have a working knowledge of the materials used. We come from a hands on, studio practice background ourselves. We still spend time making and perfecting life long craft skills in our chosen field. This continues our understanding of quality and filters through to new products in our range of tablewares.
