I am a fully trained and experienced Advanced Communications Skills Facilitator. With over 20 years of experience working in communications skills with medical professionals, I know how important it is to be able to communicate effectively and I am here to share my passion for that with you and to help bring out the skills you might not even realise you have. You and I can work as a team and together we will enable you to communicate in an empathic, professional, structured way that will boost your confidence and enhance your career as a medical professional. I have learnt my craft from the very best in the business, working with the writers of the Calgary Cambridge Guide. I have helped individuals to succeed where they were finding their communication skills were holding them back, from helping medical students to pass their exams to GP Registrars with CSA practice, the feedback has always been that they have learnt so much from me. I can work one to one with you or with a group of 4 or 5 as often it is rich learning to observe others. I spent years as a simulated patient, playing every role imaginable. I have worked as a simulated patient trainer and have also taken part in Facilitator Training Workshops for Cambridge University and The University of East Anglia. I am trained as a simulated patient in ACST which is advanced communication skills training. I work in Hospices with Doctors and Nursing staff who have to deal with the most difficult scenarios, both as a simulated patient and also as a facilitator. I have worked for many years with GP Registrars both one to one and in groups, both playing scenarios and also facilitating. I can therefore offer fantastic learning, encompassing realistic role plays along with coaching communications skills needed to succeed as a medical professional.
