Anlaids è stata una delle prime associazioni italiane nate per fermare la diffusione del virus HIV. È stata fondata nel 1985 da un gruppo di ricercatori, medici, giornalisti, attivisti e membri della società civile. Eretta Ente Morale con DPR nel 1988, è ONLUS dal 1998.
