Anmaro

ANMARO's aim is to develop high quality classical and contemporary performing arts from Asia and to establish cultural exchanges between Europe and Asia. Since 1985 ANMARO has developped performing arts productions from Asia and brought them to the continent. Amongst others, we produced and toured with The Chinese Opera, Javanese Court Dances, Balinese Classical Dances. We have performed in all major European cities and in famous houses as the Concertgebouw and Het Muziektheater Amsterdam. We have founded the first European Platform for Performing Arts eXchange EPPAX, to stimulate the exchange of performing arts between Europe and the other continents. Our new website EPPAX.org is now under construction. We will soon present our first EPPAX Conference in the first quarter of 2012 in Amsterdam. ANMARO seeks to develop specific European cultural projects for exposure in Asia. In the past ANMARO has organized several tours in Asia and will continue to do so in 2012. Check our website for more information on our projects. ANMARO has a close cooperation with the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam, more specific the Tropentheater. All the major productions of ANMARO were developped in a co-production with the KIT. In the forthcoming years we will establish more of such cooperations with the major European festivals for performing arts. Through our website we will keep you updated.
