The ANP is the largest independent B2B supplier of news and information to all Dutch media - internet, mobile, television, radio, newspapers, magazines - and to public and private organizations. In addition to news and information, ANP also offers integrated solutions and content to help clients set their agenda, analyse, monitor and produce content. ANP was founded in 1934 by the daily newspapers in The Netherlands. In the last few decades market circumstances have changed rapidly and therefore the foundation was converted into a private company. Since May 2001 ANP operates independently in the media market, allowing the company to increase its commercial activities. Nowadays ANP produces some news stories and photographs a year, tailored to the various needs and styles of the news media. Out of this feedstock ANP develops marketable products that are being sold by its business lines. ANP meets the highest standards of quality and reliability in providing complete coverage of events. News stories are written by experienced ANP journalists, an extensive network of correspondents and journalists from international press agencies, such as Reuters, DPA and AFP. With a permanent staff of around 200, ANP is headquartered just outside The Hague in Rijswijk. In addition to a team of correspondents spread throughout the country, ANP operates bureaus in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague (government) and Brussels (EU).
