ANPAM is the Italian National Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Ammunition. It is based in Rome, at the Confindustria, Viale dell’Astronomia, 30.Founded in 1980 by a group of forward-looking entrepreneurs, it set, over the course of twenty years, the benchmark for all manufacturers of firearms and ammunition, and in recent years, also for blasting companies. Adhering to Confindustria of which it has been a member since its inception, ANPAM represents the vast majority of those industrial companies which operate in the field of firearms and ammunition, and numerous which operate in the field of explosives. Demonstrating considerable depth of expertise and competence derived from over twenty years of activity, ANPAM continues to play a key coordinating role both nationally and internationally.ANPAM is also recognized as NGO in "Special" consultative status by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.
